ACOHOF IDP Care is an Initiative born of the need that arose from the deplorable plight of members of the Internally Displaced Community who were forced to flee the crises rocking the Bui and Donga Mantung Divisions of the North West Regions of Cameroon, which was our base.
Most of us are Members, while some are Volunteers for the Afoni Children of Hope Foundation. So we decided to put a few resources and means together to care in our little way to improve the living conditions of the young boys and girls plus the elderly men and women who also found themselves in this part of the country, most of whom live in very precarious conditions.
For instance, the ACOHOF Family School in Bankim is made up of about 75% of Internally Displaced Persons from the North West Regions. Because we couldn't say no to any of these children in dire situations, ACOHOF has been forced to register many in the school where they study and lodge in the dormitories for free.
